Lies and Cult Mentality
I quite randomly stumbled upon your website tonight. I just want to thank you for everything you are doing. I sold books in Pasadena, California in the summer of 2003. Most of the people I know who also sold that summer quit, as did I. I only made it about 5 weeks. It was the most miserable experience of my life. The lies and the cult mentality still have, albeit rare, affect on my life today. When my manager called me on the way to the airport- he knew I was leaving because when I went back to my hotel to pack, my student leader was asleep in there after she dropped us all off at our locations- he told me I would be a quitter and a failure for the rest of my life. I had a friend who had a gun pulled on him; another who was stolen from by his roommates... the list goes on and on. God bless you for having the dedication and resolve to go to this extent to get the truth out. I was too broken down, too defeated after I got back to do all the things you are doing.
